This is that kind of place that has that hidden gem quality. Unassuming, in a strip mall, no frills, and it's a drive to get to. Service is quick and efficient nothing astonishing but not at all lacking. Food come out quick and portions are very generous. Price is amazing for quantity and quality. But let me tell you it's delicious! It's authentic and it's made with love. The fish is really fresh and flavors are amazing. We ordered ceviche Callao style... it was simple, not drowning in sauces, just lime and salt, nothing to hide... it was fresh, yummy and satisfying. Also had the jalea... fish and shrimp and yuca... lightly breaded, perfectly crispy without being greasy, very fresh and tasty. Sealed it with a bavaroa for dessert... it was like eating a sweet cloud...fluffy and light and not overly sweet. There are so many good options... I had to bring something home. Got the beef tallarines to go... the portion can easily feed 3-4 people. They were super flavorful, the pasta was perfectly cooked and the beef tender. Definitely need to go back for more. Bring some friends.

Omg the tiradito is SO good. 10/10. I'm obsessed with it, it hits every time. If you can handle a little spicy, get it medium spicy. The tacu tacu is also really good if you like your rice fried with a slight scorched flavor. The only thing I've had that is just okay is the lomo saltado. Personally I think there's too much fry to meat ratio and the pieces of meat are cut too small. Other than that, the service is great and the place is often packed especially on the weekends!

This is a local and great spot for Peruvian food! It's one of my favorite spots to eat in general, as I'll occasionally crave their huancaina spaghetti with steak - it's so creamy and the steak is so tender. My absolute favorite! The portions on any dish are very large, sharing is highly recommended Inside is well kept, clean and also undergoes periodic renovations to remain updated. Service is always so attentive and the staff is very personable and friendly!

Food was fresh and full of flavor. Service was slow due to how busy it is but overall good. We'll definitely make this a regular stop when in the area.

Been passing by this resto, not busy in the outside, but when we get in it was packed! So for a first timer, if we see a place so busy it means the food is great. And sure it is...first the ceviche, fresh and they made it spicy as how we asked it. Pescado with yellow sauce is really delicious compared to other peruvian restaurants we've been to. The Jalen mixta is also good but not the greatest. I wanted it more crispy and more breading on the calamaris. Service is a little slow, but it's because the resto is super busy when we got in. I'm not taking away points for it. Overall experience, great food, good vibes.

Another great find less than a mile from my home. So happy to have dropped in to this wonderful restaurant. Nice and welcoming decor and kind arrentive waitstaff are the hallmarks of a great restaurant experience but add in delicious food and we have a winner. My choices the first time here were anticuchos, aji de gallina , and shrimp jalea. I loved them all but found the shrimp a bit salty. The anticuchos were a generous portion and among the best prepared I have ever eaten. Overall, an excellent meal. The second visit I tried the Pollo a la Brasa. This was outstanding. The moistness of the chicken and outstanding flavor was amazing. I have never had better! Their menu describes it as a roasted chicken taste explosion...I cannot argue with that. Lives up to the hype. The third visit I tried arroz con mariscos. This one was absolutely outstanding and is my new favorite! Each time i go now, I order one if these knowing it will be an outstanding meal. I have yet to try the ceviche, which looks amazing, or the desserts because I am too full. And there is so much more I want to taste! So why only four stars? The sides are so lackluster. Now, it is not that they are bad, it us they do not live up to the main dishes. The fries are unevely cooked, the plantains are too sweet, and the salad is, well, just salad. The thought and effort that went into the main dishes is somewhat missed on the accompaniments. But not enough to keep me from coming back regularly.

Was in the area and I have been dying for some home made Peruvian food and was recommended La Perla located in West Kendall. The menu here contains variety of different Peruvian cuisine and very extensive. After reviewing we picked the papa de La huancaina which consist of boiled potatoes topped with a creamy tasty cheese sauce. For the main entree we then ordered was the grilled seafood platter which included calamari, shrimp, fried fish and two large tentacles of octopus. The dish was full of flavor and the very fresh seafood it also came with baked potatoes. For dessert we had the picarones which are Peruvian donuts topped with a honey based syrup. It was one of the best picarones in town even the waiter said that they come from a secret family recipe. The exterior of the restaurant was homey and the waiter was a riot in a good way. Would definitely come back to La Perla for some good Peruvian food.

Great find in a place outside my normal travels! Six of us went and found a delightful experience! The fish dish that was shared between myself and an equally hungry neighbor was handily the best fried fish I've had in a long time! We both were fully satiated by our meals and our wives, who shared other dishes, were equally pleased! I feel compelled to return to further explore the delights offered here! Our server was more than up to the task of getting us what we wanted, even though it was a mixed Spanish English conversation! Overall, this was a more than adequate experience and I look forward to doing it again!

When you walk in a restaurant with a great name and all the tables are full of guest, you know the food is delicious. Place was packed! however that didn't matter because we ordered and our dinner was at the table in less than 10 minutes. Impressive. Plates are huge and delicious. Prices are excellent for the great food. Services is very good.
